In the book of Muhammad ibn Nu'aym al-Shadhani, Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Madani narrated from Musa ibn al-Qasim al-Bajali from Hanaan ibn Sadir from Abu Najran. He said to Imam al-Sadiq: 'I have a relative who loves you but drinks Nabidh.' Hanaan noted that Abu Najran himself was the one drinking Nabidh, but he used a kunyah for himself. The Imam advised him to tell the relative to leave it, for if he stumbles, he has a firm footing due to his love for the Ahl al-Bayt.
