“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ’For one on whom water of the back (sexual desire) has changed milk and honey are beneficial.”’

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, that marks and traces of musk could be seen on the joints of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause.”’

“For our pure Shi’a (followers) there is nothing under the rule of the unjust power more than bare necessities. Westernize or Easternize, you will never gain more than bare necessities.”

“I have heard my shaykh’s saying, ‘The milk of camels is a cure for all kinds of illness and defects, and for one’s stomach trouble it is their urine.’”

‘The one who’s water of the back (semen) has changed, so the butter milk and the honey would be beneficial for him’.

“I once heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saying, ‘Spaciousness of the house and extra help from the servants are of the means of happy living.’”

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), once mentioned celery and said, ‘You desire to eat celery and there is no living thing that does not rub against it.’” (It can be for or against it depending on if, they rub for cure or to leave poison).

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), said to us, ‘If I stand up above you when you are eating, do not stand up until you complete eating.’ Perhaps he called a certain one of us and it was said that they are eating; he (the Imam) would say, ’Leave them until they finish.’”

“Abu al-Hassan, has said, ‘When you comb your head and beard, then wipe the comb against your chest; it removes worries and al-Waba’ (fever).’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, when eating fish would say, ’O Lord, make it a blessing for us and change it for us with what is better.’”

“Abu Ja‘far, and abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), have said, ‘You must not fast on the day of ‘Ashura’ (tenth of Muharram) and on the day of ‘Arafah in Makkah, in al-Madinah, in your homeland or in any other city.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who is affluent and has a great deal of clothes and very fine ones, palliums, many shirts which are used to extend the life of each shirt and beautify himself; if it is profligacy and lavishness. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not lavishness because Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, says, “The affluent can spend according to his affluent condition.” (65:7)’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), would spread his gown as furnishing when the husband of his daughter or sister would come to him (the Imam) and would say, ‘Welcome to the one who has taken good care of a need and the one who protected the privacy.’”

“One day boys ate fruit but they did not eat them all and threw them away. Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), said to them, ’Allah is free of all defects, if you did not need them, there are people who need them. You must feed those who are needy.’”

“Four things will moderate digestion: Syrian pomegranates, cooked unripe dates; viola; and chicory.”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The things with which Allah was disobeyed first were six: Love of the worldly things, Love to be the leader, Love for food, Love to sleep, Love for comfort and Love of women (to such extremes that may lead one to sins).”’

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who is involved in sexual relations and he gives Ghusl (bath) to a dead person or one who has given Ghusl (bath) to a dead person, then performs sexual relation with his wife. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the same and it is not harmful. If he is involved in sexual relation, he washes his hand, then gives Ghusl (bath) to a dead person, then takes Wudu’, can go to his wife for sexual relation, only one Ghusl (bath) is sufficient for both reasons.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that once a woman came to ‘Umar and said, ‘I have committed fornication, so cleanse me/ He commanded to stone her to death ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), was asked about it and he asked, ‘How did you commit fornication?’ She replied, ‘I was passing through wilderness and I became thirsty severely. I ask an Arab man for water but he refused unless I made myself available for him. When thirst increased and I feared for my life he gave me water and I availed myself for him.’ ’Amir al-Mu’minin said, ‘This is marriage by the Lord of al- Ka’bah.’” (She must have been unmarried so al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) was possible).

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Allah said: My servants! All of you are misguided except for those I have guided. All of you are poor except for those I have enriched. All of you are sinners except for those I have protected.

“Once, the Holy Prophet was invited for food. When he entered the house he saw a hen that had laid an egg on a wall and it fell on the top of a stake. It stayed there and did not fall off or break. The Holy Prophet expressed astonishment and the man said, ‘Were you astonished because of this egg? I swear by the One who has sent you with the truth that I have never suffered any loss.’ The Imam said, ‘The Holy Prophet then stood up and left without having any food saying, ‘One who does not suffer any losses, Allah is not interested in him.’”
