Narrates from his uncle Harun ibn Isa, the companion of Abu Abdallah (upon him peace). He has a book; Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqi narrated from him (S). Hammadwayh said: Al-Hasan ibn Musa reported to me that Ali ibn Wahban was a Waqifi (K).

علي بن وهبان: قال الشيخ (419): " علي بن وهبان: له كتاب، رويناه بالاسناد الأول، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن أبيه، عنه، وروى عن عمه هارون بن عيسى صاحب أبي عبد الله عليه السلام ". وأراد بالاسناد الأول: جماعة، عن أبي المفضل، عن ابن بطة، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله. وعده في رجاله من أصحاب الكاظم عليه السلام (39). وقال الكشي (336): علي بن وهبان: " قال حمدويه: حدثني الحسن بن موسى، قال: علي بن وهبان كان واقفيا ". روى عن هارون بن عيسى عمه، وروى أحمد بن محمد، عن أبيه، عنه. الكافي: الجزء 4، كتاب الزكاة 1، باب في أن الصدقة تزيد المال 5، الحديث 3. وطريق الشيخ إليه ضعيف.
