عدي بن حاتم: عده الشيخ في رجاله (تارة) من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله (29). و (أخرى) من أصحاب علي عليه السلام بإضافة (الطائي) (36). روى عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام، وروى رجل من بني عدي بن حاتم، عن أبيه، عنه. تفسير القمي: في تفسير قوله تعالى: (فقولا له قولا لينا لعله يتذكر أو يخشى). وتقدم له كلام في ولائه لعلي عليه السلام، في ترجمة عبد الله بن خليفة الطائي، كما تقدم في ترجمة البراء بن مالك، عد عدي أيضا من السابقين الذين رجعوا إلى أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام. روى عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام، وروى شيخ من أحفاده، عن أبيه, عنه. الكافي: الجزء 7، كتاب الايمان والنذور 7، باب النوادر 18، الحديث 1، والتهذيب: الجزء 6، باب أن الحرب خدعة، الحديث 299، وباب النوادر، الحديث 322.
