الزبير بن بكار: ابن عبد الله بن مصعب: استحلفه رجل فحلف وبرص، رواه الصدوق في الباب (48) من العيون، إلا أن الرواية غير نقية السند. وعن كتاب معجم الأدباء: أنه أعلم الناس قاطبة بأخبار قريش وأنسابها وأنه نقل عنه روايات يظهر منها بطلان مذهب العامة، وحقيقة مذهب الخاصة.
