The ascription of this book to Ibn al-Ghaḍāʾirī is disputed; al-Khoei held it unproven («الكتاب المنسوب إلى ابن الغضائري… لم يثبت»).

لا نعرفه إلا من جهة علي بن محمد صاحب الزنج، ومن جهة عبد الله ابن محمد البلوي. والذي يحمل عليه فسائره فاسد.

We do not recognize him except from the direction of ʿAlī b. Muḥammad the Ṣāḥib of the Zanj, and from the direction of ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad alBalawī. And that which is he is charged with, then the rest of it is corrupt.
