Hadith.169 - Ali ibn Ja'far asked his brother Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) about a man whose clothing comes into contact with a dead dog. Imam (as) replied: 'He should sprinkle it with water and may pray in it, and there is no issue.'.

Hadith.727 - Ali ibn Ja'far asked his brother Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) about praying in the bathhouse. Imam (as) said: "If the place is clean, then there is no harm in praying, referring specifically to the changing area (maslakh).”

“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), Is it permissible to give Ghusl (bath) to a dead body in the open? He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful, but I prefer that it is covered with a covering.’”

“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who performs Tawaf around the House when he is involved in sexual relation (because of which Ghusl (bath) is obligatory), but remembers when he is in Tawaf. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must discontinue his Tawaf and you must not consider it valid.’ I then asked him (the Imam) about a man who performs Tawaf and then remembers that he is without wudu’. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must discontinue and it (Tawaf) is not acceptable.’”

“I once asked him (the Imam) about a woman who wears a bracelet and there is bangle on her forearm and does not know if water reaches (her skin) under the bracelet, what should she do for Wudu’ or taking Ghusl (bath)? He (the Imam) said, ‘She must move them so that water reaches beneath or remove them.’ I then asked about a tight ring about which one is not certain if water reaches beneath when taking Wudu’. He (the Imam) said, ‘If one knows that water does not reach beneath, one must remove it when taking Wudu’.’”

I heard ‘Ali ibn Muḥammad Al-‘Askari (Imam Hādi (a.s.)) say: Those who leave their homes going toward the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) and go to the Euphrates (River) and perform Ghusl with its water will be registered by Allāh as those who have achieved salvation. And once they say Salām to Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Ḥusain (a.s.)) they will be registered as the Winners. After they finish their prayers, an angel will come to them and say, “Verily the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) conveys his Salām to you and tells you that your sins have been forgiven and that you should start again with good deeds.”

If one picks up a piece of pottery from a bathhouse and rubs himself with it, then becomes ill with leprosy he must not blame anyone except himself. One who washes with the used water of a bathhouse and becomes ill with leprosy, he also must not blame anyone else except himself.’ Muhammad ibn Ali has said, ‘I said to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), that people of al-Madinah say, “There is cure (and protection) in it against the evil effect of the eyes.’” He (the Imam) said, ‘They have spoken a lie. In it people after unlawful sexual acts bathe and fornicators bathe. In it, the worst of all creatures that Allah has created, the enemies of Ahl al-Bayt, bathe and then they say that there is cure (and protection) in it against the evil effects of the eyes. Cure for the eyes because of such effect is in reading al-Hamd (Chapter one) and al-Ma‘udhatayn (chapters One Hundred Thirteen and One Hundred Fourteen), Ayatu al-Kursi (2:255) and burning incense of al-Qust, (a certain Indian or Arabian wood), al-Murr (gum of a certain tree) and al-Luban (frankincense).”’
