Kitāb al-Ḍuʿafāʾ

The ascription of this book to Ibn al-Ghaḍāʾirī is disputed; al-Khoei held it unproven («الكتاب المنسوب إلى ابن الغضائري… لم يثبت»).
لا يعرف إلا بما ينسب إليه عبد الله بن محمد البلوي. وينسب إلى أبيه عبيد الله بن العلاء عمارة بن زيد. وما يسند إليه إلا الفاسد المتهافت. وأظنه اسما موضوعا على غير واحد.
Not recognized except for what is attributed to him by ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Balawī. His father, ʿUbaydullāh b. al-ʿAlā is related to ʿAmāra b. Zayd. Chains of narrations do not go back to him but through the corrupt and confused. I suspect that his name has been assigned to more than one.

إبراهيم بن عبيد الله بن العلا المدني قال ابن الغضائري لا نعرفه الا بما ينسب إليه عبد الله بن محمد البلوى وينسب إلى أبيه عبيد الله بن العلا عمارة بن زيد وما يسند إليه الا الفاسد المتهافت قال وأظنه موضوعا على غير واحد أقول وهذا لا أعتمد على روايته لوجود طعن هذا الشيخ فيه مع انى لم اقف له على تعديل من غيره [صه]
Ibn al-Ghadairi said: We do not know him except for what Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Balawi attributes to him... and what is narrated from him is only corrupt and falling apart. He said: 'I suspect he is fabricated on top of someone else.' I (Ardabili) say: I do not rely on his narration due to the criticism of this Shaykh (Ibn al-Ghadairi) and because I have not found a modification (tawdil) for him from anyone else.
