سويد بن عمرو: ابن أبي المطاع: من أصحاب الحسين عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (4). قيل إنه كان آخر قتيل في الطف مع الحسين عليه السلام. قال السيد ابن طاوس في كتاب اللهوف، أواسط المسلك الثاني: (قال الراوي: تقدم سويد بن عمرو بن أبي المطاع - وكان شريفا كثير الصلاة - فقاتل قتال الأسد الباسل، وبالغ في الصبر على الخطب النازل، حتى سقط بين القتلى...) (إلى آخر ما ذكره).
