7. [7/60] al-Tawhid and al-Uyun and al-Amali: Ibn al-Mutawakkil from Ali from his father from al-Rayyan b. al-Salt from Ali b. Musa al-Ridha from his forefathers from the commander of the faithful عليهم السلام who said

the messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه واله said: Allāh Majestic is His Majesty said: he has not believed in Me the one who interprets My words based on his opinion, and he has not known Me the one who compares Me to My creation, and he is not upon My religion the one who uses analogical reasoning in it.

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه واله said: Allah Majestic is His Majesty said: He has not believed in Me the one who interprets My words by his opinion. He has not known Me the one who likens Me to My creatures. He is not upon My religion the one who uses analogy in My religion.

Muhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Mutawakkil (may Allah be pleased with him) said: `Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim said: My father said on the authority of al-Rayyan ibn al-Salt, on the authority of `Ali ibn Musa al-Riza (AS) on the authority of his father, on the authority of his forefather, on the authority of Commander of the Faithfuly (AS) that

The Messenger of Allah (SA) said: Allah, Exalted be His Sublimity, said: He who interprets My Words on the basis of his own personal opinion does not believe in Me. He who compares Me to My Creation does not believe in Me. And he who uses analogy [qiyas] in religion is not of My Religion.

23 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن الريان بن الصلت، عن علي بن موسى الرضا عليهما السلام، عن أبيه، عن آبائه، عن أمير المؤمنين عليهم السلام، قال

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: قال الله جل جلاله، ما آمن بي من فسر برأيه كلامي، وما عرفني من شبهني بخلقي، وما على ديني من استعمل القياس في ديني.

hadith 30

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from al-Rayyan b. al-Salt from `Ali b. Musa al-Rida from his father from his forefathers from Amir al-Mu’mineen (as). He said

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Allah said: “Whoever interprets My words by his own opinion has not believed in Me. Whoever likens me to My creation has not recognized Me. Whoever utilizes qiyas in My religion is not upon My religion.”

حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن الريان بن الصلت، عن علي بن موسى الرضا، عن أبيه، عن آبائه، عن أمير المؤمنين (عليهم السلام)، قال

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): قال الله عز وجل: ما آمن بي من فسر برأيه كلامي، وما عرفني من شبهني بخلقي، وما على ديني. من استعمل القياس في ديني (1).
