يونس بن رباط البجلي

16. Yunus ibn Ribat reported: I heard Abu 'Abd Allah (a.s) saying: Verily, the people of truth have always had to endure difficulties. However, that is for a short period and everlasting well-being.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Allah grants mercy to one who supports his children in virtuous deeds.’ He (the narrator) has said that he then asked, ‘How does he support him in virtuous deeds.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘He accepts what he can do and bypasses what is difficult for him. He does not impose on him what is beyond his ability; between him and the limits of disbelief there is no more than entering in disobedience and cutting off the good relations among relatives.’ He (the Imam) then said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Paradise is pleasant. Allah has made it pleasant as well as its fragrance which reaches a distance of two thousand years but one who is disobedient to parents, one who has cut off good relations with relatives and one who displays haughtiness and arrogance cannot find and sense the fragrance of paradise.’”

once he and Kamil al-Tammar went to see abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.). Kamil said to the Imam (a.s.), “‘May Allah take my soul in service for your cause, there is a hadith which so and so son of so and so has narrated.” The Imam (a.s.) said, “Say and read it.” He (Kamil) then said, “He so and so narrated to me that the Holy Prophet narrated a thousand chapter to Ali on the day the Messenger of Allah died. Each of those chapters open a thousand chapter. The total becomes a Million chapter.” The Imam (a.s.) said, “That is how it happened.” I then said, “‘May Allah take my soul in service for your cause, has this become manifest to your followers and those who love you?” The Imam (a.s.) said, “O Kamil, only one or two chapters may have become so.” Kamil has said that the Imam (a.s.) then said, “You perhaps may not be able to narrate all our excellence and virtues. You do not narrate from our excellence and virtue but only a scattered thousand.”

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘The people of truth had always, since their coming into being, been in suffering but that is for a short time which is followed by everlasting happiness.’”

"I heard Abu Abdullah (a.s) saying," and he mentioned the same."'
