“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Fruits are of one hundred twenty colors [kinds] and the best of them is the pomegranate.’”

“Once Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about chess. He (the Imam) said, 'You must leave al-Majusiyya (the Zoroastrian thing) for its people, may Allah condemn it.'"

’Be aware of marrying the people of al-Zanj, for they are a distorted creature.'

"Women are of four types, there are those who are like a fertile spring, those who are abundant and productive, those who are burdensome and oppressive, and those who are like a shackle infested with lice."

And whatever is narrated from Masadah ibn Ziyad, I have narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah and Al-Himyari together, from Harun ibn Muslim, from Masadah ibn Ziyad.

"Beware of taking lost property, for it is the loss of a believer, and it is a flame from the flames of Hell."

Holy prophet once said to a certain one of his wives, ‘Instruct the believing women to wash themselves clean with water thoroughly; it cleanses the surrounding areas and removes the hemorrhoids.’”

There are two types of shyness. One is due to being weak and the other type is due to strength, submission to God in Islam and faith.”

Were it not for three reasons, man would never bow down. They are illness, poverty and death. He is subject to all of them and they are with him. Yet, he will not stop boasting.”

prophet صلى الله عليه وآله said: do not unite in marriage upon doubt – He meant to say: if it reaches you [information that] that you have suckled of her milk [from the same source – she is your foster sister] and that she is a Mahram to you, or something similar to this then halting in the face of doubt is better than rushing headlong into destruction.

Prophet (MGB) said, “There are three things which destroy. They are breaching transactions, abandoning traditions and leaving the society. There are three things which save. They are watching out what you say, crying over your mistakes, and staying at home.”

The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: Which of the ropes of faith is the most solid? They said: Allah and His Messenger are more knowledgeable. Some of them said (it is) prayer, some others said (it is) alms tax, some others said (it is) fasting, some others said (it is) pilgrimage and Umrah, and some others said (it is) striving. The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, then said: To all that which you said, there is virtue, but it is not with it. However, the most solid of the ropes of faith is love for the sake of Allah, hatred for the sake of Allah, befriending the Allies of Allah and dissociation from the enemies of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He.

`Ali (as) said: Surely, a Muslim person has three friends: (1) A friend that says to him: “I am with you, alive and dead” – that is his deeds. (2) A friend that says to him: “I am with you until you die” – that is his wealth, for when he dies, it is given in inheritance. (3) A friend that says to him: “I am with you until the gateway of your grave, then I will leave you” – that is his child.

There are three friends for a Muslim. There is a friend who says, ‘I will be with you in your life and death!’ That is his deeds! There is a friend who says, ‘I will be with you until you are put into the grave. Then I will abandon you.’ That is his child! There is a friend who says, ‘I will be with you until your death.’ That is his wealth which will be that of his inheritors once he dies.’”

Ten categories of female slaves are unlawful for their masters. Do not have sex with both a mother and her daughter (who are both your slaves); do not have sex with both of two sisters (who are both your slaves). Do not have sex with your female slave who is impregnated by another man, until she gives birth to her baby. Do not have sex with your female slave if she is the wife of another man. Do not have sex with your female slave who is your foster sister. Do not have sex with your female slave who is your fosterpaternal aunt. Do not have sex with your female slave who is your foster maternal aunt. Do not have sex with your female slave who is menstruating, until she becomes clean. Do not have sex with your female slave who has breastfed you. Do not have sex with your female slave whom you possess in partnership with someone else.”

Ali, peace be upon him, said: Indeed, a Muslim individual has three close friends: one close friend who says to him: «I am with you, alive and dead» and that is his action; one close friend who says to him: «I am with you until you die» and that is his property, and when he dies, it goes to the inheritors; and a close friend who says to him: «I am with you till the gate of your grave, and then I will leave you alone» and that is his child.

I heard Ja’far ibn Muhammad, peace be upon him, say when he was asked about the verse in Qu’ran: ’To Allah belongs the conclusive authority’ (6:149), he said: "Surely, Allah, Most High, will ask His slave on the Day of Reckoning: ’O my slave, were you learned?’ If he said: ’Yes,’ Allah would say: ’Did you not act according to your knowledge?’ And if he said: ’I was unlearned, ignorant’; Allah would say: ’Did you not acquire knowledge so that you could act accordingly?’ That will be the time of His argument against him and that is the conclusive authority." And may Allah bless our master Muhammad and his progeny.

There is a mill in Hell which grinds five. Don’t you wish to ask me what it grinds?’ They asked him (MGB), ‘What does it grind?’ Ali (MGB) said, ‘It grinds wicked wise men; corrupt Quran recitors; wicked oppressors; dishonest ministers; and gnostics who lie. There is a town in Hell which is called Hasineh. Don’t you wish to ask me what is in it?’ They asked him, ‘O Commander of the Faithful! What is in it?’ He (MGB) replied, ‘The hands of the perfidious party (Nakiseen).’”

When Ja’far ibn Muhammad, peace be upon him, was asked about the verse: ’To Allah belongs the decisive argument.’ (6:149), he said: When there will be the Day of Reckoning, Allah will address (His) slave: "Were you a learned man?" If he says "Yes," Allah will ask: "Did you not act according to your knowledge?" And if he says: "I was not learned," He will say: "Why did you not learn?" and so call him to account. That is the decisive argument of Allah, Most High, against His creatures.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: May Allah have mercy on a man who helps his father in his righteousness. May Allah have mercy on a father who helps his child in his righteousness. May Allah have mercy on a neighbour who helps his neighbour in his righteousness. May Allah have mercy on a friend who helps his friend in his righteousness. May Allah have mercy on an acquaintance that helps his acquaintance in his righteousness. May Allah have mercy on a man who helps his ruler in his righteousness.
