محمد بن عبد الملك بن محمد التبان يكنى أبا عبد الله، كان معتزليا، ثم أظهر الانتقال ولم يكن ساكنا، وقد ضمنا أن نذكر كل مصنف ينتمي إلى هذه الطائفة. له كتاب في تكليف من علم الله أنه يكفر، وله كتاب في المعدوم. ومات لثلاث بقين من ذي القعدة سنة تسع عشرة وأربع مائة.
