محمد بن إسماعيل الجعفري: له كتاب، ذكره النجاشي. وقال الشيخ (669): " محمد بن إسماعيل الجعفري، له كتاب رويناه بهذا الاسناد، عن حميد، عن عبيد الله بن أحمد بن نهيك، عن أبي العباس، عنه ". وأراد بهذا الاسناد: جماعة، عن أبي المفضل، عن حميد، والطريق إليه ضعيف بأبي المفضل. ثم إن الرجل مجهول، يحتمل اتحاده مع محمد بن إسماعيل بن جعفر بن محمد المتقدم.
