Abu Zayd al-Khaywani al-Hamdani. Nothing is known of him except this. al-Husayn ibn Ubayd Allah mentioned he heard some of our companions say: When Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Balawi was asked: 'Who is this Imarah ibn Zayd who narrated to you?' He replied: 'A man descended from the heaven, narrated to me, then ascended.' Books are attributed to him, including: Book of Maghazi, Book of the Wars of Amir al-Mu'minin, Book of the Killing of al-Husayn, and many other things.

Kitāb al-Ḍuʿafāʾ

a liar

The ascription of this book to Ibn al-Ghaḍāʾirī is disputed; al-Khoei held it unproven («

Ally of the Anṣār, and this lineage of his is what ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Balawī al-Miṣrī claimed about it, so it is not known except from his direction. ʿAbdullāh was asked about him, so it was said to him: Who is ʿUmāra, this one that you narrate from? He said: A man who descended from the sky (or: Heaven), he narrated to me, then he ascended. Our companions say: Indeed there is no one under this name. All that he narrates is a lie. The lie is clear in the face of his ḥadīth.

The ally of the Ansar, according to the claim of 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Balawi al-Masri, as he is only known through him. When asked about him, Balawi said: 'A man descended from the sky, told me hadith, then ascended back.' Our scholars say this is a name with no real person behind it, and everything narrated from him is a lie, the falsity of which is evident in his hadith.
