hadith 2188
12. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Harun ibn Kharijah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“It is of humility to offer the greeting of peace to whomever you meet.”
12ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مِنَ التَّوَاضُعِ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ عَلَى مَنْ لَقِيتَ.

5. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama’a who has said the following
“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) about a man who initiates writing to another man. The Imam said, ‘It is not an offense. It is an excellent act when a man initiates honoring his brother (in belief).”’
5ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَبْدَأُ بِالرَّجُلِ فِي الْكِتَابِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِهِ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ يَبْدَأُ الرَّجُلُ بِأَخِيهِ يُكْرِمُهُ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who eats or drinks with his left hand. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must not eat with his left hand and must not drink with his left hand or lift up anything with it.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ أَوْ يَشْرَبُ بِهَا فَقَالَ لَا يَأْكُلْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَ لَا يَشْرَبْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَ لَا يَتَنَاوَلْ بِهَا شَيْئاً .

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama’a who has said the following
“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) about a man who uses one piece of cloth for al- ‘Ihtiba’. The Imam said, ‘If it covers his private parts then it is not an offense.’”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَحْتَبِي بِثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ يُغَطِّي عَوْرَتَهُ فَلا بَأْسَ.

hadith 1101
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘ Ajlan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The host must begin wudu so that no one feels shy. After eating food the person on the right of the host begins it, regardless of being a free or a slave . 5 He (the narrator) has said that in another Hadith it says, ‘The first before food and the last after food to wash should be the owner of the house, because he can remain patient with food stains. 5 ”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَ الطَّعَامِ يَبْدَأُ صَاحِبُ الْبَيْتِ لِئَلَّا يَحْتَشِمَ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ بَدَأَ بِمَنْ عَنْ يَمِينِ صَاحِبِ الْبَيْتِ حُرّاً كَانَ أَوْ عَبْداًقَالَ وَ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ يَغْسِلُ أَوَّلًا رَبُّ الْبَيْتِ يَدَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْدَأُ بِمَنْ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَ إِذَا رُفِعَ الطَّعَامُ بَدَأَ بِمَنْ عَلَى يَسَارِ صَاحِبِ الْمَنْزِلِ وَ يَكُونُ آخِرُ مَنْ يَغْسِلُ يَدَهُ صَاحِبَ الْمَنْزِلِ لِأَنَّهُ أَوْلَى بِالصَّبْرِ عَلَى الْغَمَرِ .
