علي بن الحسن الصيرفى ذكره إبن بطة وقال: حدثني بكتابه الصفار عن أحمد بن محمد، عن محمد بن أبي عمير عنه.
Ibn Batta mentioned him and said: al-Saffar narrated to me from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr from him via his book.

علي بن الحسن الصيرفي: قال النجاشي: " علي بن الحسن الصيرفي: ذكره ابن بطة، وقال: حدثني بكتابه الصفار، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عنه ". وقال الشيخ (421): " علي بن الحسن الصيرفي، له كتاب، رويناه بالاسناد الأول، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن ابن أبي عمير، عنه ". وأراد بالاسناد الأول: جماعة، عن أبي المفضل، عن ابن بطة، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، والطريق ضعيف بأبي المفضل وبابن بطة.
