عبيد بن الحسن كوفي، ثقة، قليل الحديث، وهو قرابة الفضل بن جعفر البزاز. له كتاب يرويه عدة من أصحابنا. أخبرني أبو عبد الله بن شاذان قال: حدثنا علي بن حاتم قال: حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن ثابت قال: حدثنا القاسم بن محمد بن الحسين بكتاب عبيد بن الحسن عنه.
