حماد بن عثمان بن عمرو بن خالد الفزاري مولاهم، كوفي، كان يسكن عرزم فنسب إليها، وأخوه عبد الله ثقتان، رويا عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى حماد عن أبي الحسن والرضا عليهما السلام، ومات حماد بالكوفة في سنة تسعين ومائة، ذكرهما أبو العباس في كتابه، وروى عنه جماعة منهم أبو جعفر محمد بن الوليد بن خالد الخزاز البجلي. أخبرنا أبو الحسن أحمد بن الجندي قال: حدثنا أبو علي محمد بن همام قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر قال: حدثنا محمد بن الوليد بكتاب حماد بن عثمان.

Their mawla, Kufi. He used to live in 'Azram, so he was attributed to it. His brother 'Abd Allah and he are both reliable (thiqatan). They both narrated from Abu 'Abd Allah (al-Sadiq). Hammad also narrated from Abu al-Hasan (al-Kazim) and al-Rida. Hammad died in Kufa in the year 190 AH.

حماد بن عثمان: قال النجاشي: " حماد بن عثمان بن عمرو بن خالد الفزاري، مولاهم، كوفي، كان يسكن عرزم فنسب إليها وأخوه عبد الله ثقتان، رويا عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى حماد عن أبي الحسن والرضا عليهما السلام، ومات حماد بالكوفة في سنة تسعين ومائة، ذكرهما أبو العباس في كتابه، وروى عنه جماعة، منهم: أبو جعفر محمد بن الوليد بن خالد الخزاز البجلي، أخبرنا أبو الحسين (الحسن) أحمد بن محمد الجندي، قال: حدثنا أبو علي محمد بن همام، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الوليد، بكتاب حماد بن عثمان ". ويأتي طريق الصدوق إلى حماد بن عثمان.
