حمدان بن المعافى أبو جعفر الصبيحي من قصر صبيح، مولى جعفر بن محمد، روى عن موسى والرضا عليهما السلام، وروى عن مسعدة بن صدقة وغيره. له كتاب شرائع الايمان، وكتاب الاهليلجة أخبرنا محمد بن علي الكاتب قال: حدثنا هارون بن موسى قال: حدثنا محمد بن علي بن معمر عن حمدان بن المعافى. قال ابن نوح: مات حمدان سنة خمس وستين ومائتين لما دخل أصحاب العلوي البصري قسين وأحرقوها. وقال: قال ابن معمر: إن أبا الحسن موسى والرضا [ عليهما السلام ] دعوا له.

A client (mawla) of Ja'far ibn Muhammad. He narrated from al-Kazim and al-Rida, and they prayed for him. He died in the year 265 AH.

حمدان بن المعافي: قال النجاشي: " حمدان بن المعافى أبو جعفر الصبيحي - من قصر صبيح - مولى جعفر بن محمد عليه السلام، روى عن موسى والرضا عليهما السلام، وروى عنه مسعدة بن صدقة وغيره، له كتاب شرايع الايمان، وكتاب الإهليلجة. أخبرنا محمد بن علي الكاتب، قال: حدثنا هارون بن موسى، قال: حدثنا محمد ابن علي بن معمر عن حمدان بن معافى، قال ابن نوح: مات حمدان سنة خمس وستين ومائتين لما دخل أصحاب العلوي البصري قسين وأحرقوها، وقال: قال ابن معمر: إن أبا الحسن موسى والرضا عليهما السلام دعوا له ". روى عن ابن أبي عمير، وروى عنه محمد بن الحسين. كامل الزيارات: الباب 71 في ثواب من زار الحسين عليه السلام يوم عاشوراء، الحديث 7.
