جحدر بن المغيرة الطائي كوفي، روى عن جعفر بن محمد [ عليه السلام ]، ذكر ذلك الجماعة. له كتاب قال ابن سعيد: حدثنا أبو الأزهر سعيد بن مالك بن عبد الله بن العلاء بن حنظلة المهراني قال: حدثنا محمد بن إدريس صاحب الكرابيس، قال: حدثنا جحدر بن المغيرة بكتابه.

يروي عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام) (وله عنه كتاب). كان خطابيا في مذهبه، ضعيفا في حديثه. وكتابه لم يرو إلا من طريق واحد.

Narrated from Abū ʿAbdillāh عليه السلام [and he has a book from him]. He was a Khaṭṭābī in his madhhab. Weak in his ḥadīth. His book is not narrated except from a single route.
