إدريس بن زياد الكفر توثي أبو الفضل، ثقة، ادرك أصحاب أبي عبد الله عليه السلام وروى عنهم. وله كتاب نوادر أخبرنا محمد بن علي الكاتب قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن المطلب، قال: حدثنا عمران بن طاووس بن محسن بن طاووس مولى جعفر بن محمد قال: حدثنا إدريس به، وأخبرنا محمد وغيره عن أبي بكر الجعابي قال: حدثنا جعفر الحسني قال: حدثنا إدريس.

إدريس بن زياد: قال النجاشي: " إدريس بن زياد الكفرثوثي أبو الفضل، ثقة، أدرك أصحاب أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى عنهم، وله كتاب نوادر. أخبرنا محمد بن علي الكاتب، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن المطلب، قال: حدثنا عمران بن طاووس بن محسن بن طاووس مولى جعفر بن محمد، قال: حدثنا إدريس به. وأخبرنا محمد وغيره، عن أبي بكر الجعابي، قال: حدثنا جعفر الحسيني (الحسني)، قال: حدثنا إدريس ". وقال الشيخ (125): " إدريس بن زياد، له روايات، أخبرنا بها أحمد بن عبدون، عن أبي طالب الأنباري، عن حميد، عن أحمد بن ميثم، عنه ". وقال ابن الغضائري: " إدريس بن زياد، يكنى أبا الفضل الكفرثوثائي، خوزي الام، يروي عن الضعفاء ". وطريق الشيخ إليه ضعيف بأبي طالب الأنباري.
