31-142 According to the same documentation, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) said that God’s Prophet (S) told Ali (a.s.), “I advise you to take salt since it is a cure for seventy illnesses, the least of them being insanity, elephantiasis and leprosy.”
142 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِبٍ‏ عَلَيْهِالسَّلامُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ قالَ
لِعَلِيٍ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ: عَلَيْكَ بِالمِلحِ، فَإِنَّهُ شِفاءُ مِن سَبْعِينَ داءٌ أَدناهَا الجُذامُ وَالبَرَصُ وَالجُنُونُ.
