31-138 According to the same documentation, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) said, “A man invited Ali (a.s.) to his house. He (a.s.) said, “I will accept your invitation if you accept three conditions.” The man said, “O Commander of the Faithful! What are they?” The Imam (a.s.) said, “That you do not buy anything from the outside. That you do not store away anything in the house for me. And that you do not burden your wife on my behalf.” The man said, “O Commander of the Faithful! I accept all the conditions.” Then Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) accepted his invitation.”
