Hadith 681

1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Muhammad b. Isa from Abbas b. Hilal who said
I heard Aba al-Hassan al-Ridha (a.s.) who said: “A good deed done secretly is better than seventy good deeds and one who sins openly will not be helped. One who sins secretly, may be forgiven.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع قَالَ: الْمُسْتَتِرُ بِالْحَسَنَهِ تَعْدِلُ سَبْعِینَ حَسَنَهً وَ الْمُذِیعُ بِالسَّیِّئَهِ مَخْذُولٌ وَ الْمُسْتَتِرُ بِالسَّیِّئَهِ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ.
