2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to us by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from al-Abbas b. Ma’ruf from Ibn Sinan from Talha b. Zayd from Ja’far b. Muhammad al-Sadiq (a.s.) from his father (a.s.) who said
“My father used to say that the first deed to be rewarded on the Day of Judgment is offering water as Sadaqah.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ طَلْحَهَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّادِقِ ع عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ
أَوَّلُ مَا یُبْدَأُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ صَدَقَهُ الْمَاءِ.
