Hadith 489
۞
2. Imam Ridha (a.s.) says regarding the verse ‘If you shun the great sins which you are forbidden, We will do away with your small, “One who abstains from those sins for which Allah has promised Hell, Allah will forgive his (lesser) sins.”
أَبِی ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَیْلِ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع فِی قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا کَبائِرَ ما تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُکَفِّرْ عَنْکُمْ سَیِّئاتِکُمْ قَالَ
مَنِ اجْتَنَبَ مَا أَوْعَدَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ النَّارَ إِذَا کَانَ مُؤْمِناً کَفَّرَ عَنْهُ سَیِّئَاتِهِ.
