9. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says at the end of a lengthy tradition, “In the month of Ramadan, the doors of heavens are opened, satans are shackled in chains and the deeds of believers are accepted. Ramadan is an excellent month. It was also called the al-Marzooq (a month in which bounties are given) during the time of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.).”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی إِبْرَاهِیمُ بْنُ مَهْزِیَارَ عَنْ أَخِیهِ عَنْ عَلِیٍّ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَبِی حَمْزَهَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِی حَدِیثٍ طَوِیلٍ فِی آخِرِهِ أَنَّ
أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ تُفَتَّحُ فِی رَمَضَانَ وَ تُصَفَّدُ الشَّیَاطِینُ وَ تُقْبَلُ أَعْمَالُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ نِعْمَ الشَّهْرُ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ کَانَ یُسَمَّی عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص الْمَرْزُوقَ.
