Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Charity is the adornment of destitution while gratefulness (to Allāh) is the adornment of riches. ٦٨. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام): الْعَفَافُ زِينَةُ الْفَقْرِ، والشُّكْرُ زِينَةُ الغِنَى.
