Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Nearness with people in their manners brings about safety from their evil. ۴۰۱. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام): مُقَارَبَةُ النَّاسِ فِي أَخْلاَقِهِمْ أَمْنٌ مِنْ غَوَائِلِهِمْ. Similar narrations Ghurar al-Ḥikam #6372 Imam Ali (AS) said, Get closer to the people in their morals and you will be safe from their malice [and evil].
