Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: A friend is not a friend unless he affords protection to his comrade on three occasions: in his adversity, in his absence and at his death. ١٣٤. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام): لَا يَكُونُ الصَّدِيقُ صَدِيقاً حَتَّى يَحْفَظَ أَخَاهُ فِى ثَلَاثٍ فِى نَكْبَتِهِ وَغَيْبَتِهِ وَوَفَاتِهِ.
