O My Allāh! Deal with me through Thy forgiveness and do not deal with me according to Thy justice.
اللَّهُمَّ احْمِلْنِي عَلَى عَفْوِكَ، وَلاَ تَحْمِلْنِي عَلَى عدْلِكَ.
Similar narrations
- Nahj al-Balāgha #281 O my Allāh! Forgive me what Thou knowest about me more than I do. If I return (to the sins) Thou return to forgiveness.
- Mīzān al-Ḥikma #2979 Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘O Allah expose me to Your pardon but do not expose me to Your justice.
