He [the Imam] mentioned that Muslim the client [slave] of Ja’far bin Muhammad was a Sindhi. Ja’far عليه السلام had said to him: ‘I hope that you live up to your name [i.e. Muslim – submitter]’. He [Muslim] was taught the whole Qur’an in his sleep and woke up having memorized it. Muhammad b. al-Walid said: He was from the children [i.e. people] of Sindh.
