Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said about one who declares enmity towards the Imam of the Muslims: ‘If it were not for the fact that we were afraid for your sake, that one of you may be killed for killing one of them, and one of you is worth a thousand of their men, we would order you to kill them; but this is left to [the discretion of] the Imam.
