Imam Baqir (a.s) narrated that an Arab man went to see the Prophet (a.s) and asked for some advice. The Prophet gave him some advice including
“Be friendly with the people so that they be friendly with you.”
عن أبي جعفر (عليه السلام) قال
إن أعرابيا أتى النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) فقال: أوصني، فكان فيما أوصاه أن قال له: تحبب إلى الناس يحبوك.
