Hadith.5100 - In the narration of Ghiyath ibn Ibrahim from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), it is reported: "Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) was presented in Kufa with a man who had stolen a pigeon, but he did not cut off his hand and said
'I do not cut off (a hand) for stealing birds.'"
5100 - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ غِيَاثِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ : "أَنَّ عَلِيّاً عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ أُتِيَ بِالْكُوفَةِ بِرَجُلٍ سَرَقَ حَمَاماً فَلَمْ يَقْطَعْهُ وَ قَالَ
"لاَ أَقْطَعُ فِي اَلطَّيْرِ" ".
