Hadith 971

Hadith.4184 - Al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar narrated from Al-Husayn ibn Ubayd Allah (swt) who said
I said to Abu Abdillah (as), "We are in the mountains and we send the shepherds to the sheep. Sometimes a sheep is injured or something happens to it, and they slaughter it. Can we eat it?"
Imam (as) said: "No, for it is a matter of proper slaughtering, and only a Muslim can be trusted with it."
4184 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ اَلْمُخْتَارِ عَنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اَللَّهِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِالْجَبَلِ فَنَبْعَثُ اَلرُّعَاةَ إِلَى اَلْغَنَمِ فَرُبَّمَا عَطِبَتِ اَلشَّاةُ وَ أَصَابَهَا شَيْءٌ فَذَبَحُوهَا فَنَأْكُلُهَا قَالَ "لاَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ اَلذَّبِيحَةُ فَلاَ يُؤْمَنُ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ اَلْمُسْلِمُ ".
