Hadith 1561

Hadith.4754 - It was narrated from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), who said
A man stood before the Commander of the Faithful (as) and said: "I divorced my wife during her waiting period (ʿiddah) without any witnesses."
Imam (as) replied: "Your divorce is not valid. Return to your wife."
4754 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
قَامَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَمِيرِ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي طَلَّقْتُ اِمْرَأَتِي لِلْعِدَّةِ بِغَيْرِ شُهُودٍ فَقَالَ "لَيْسَ طَلاَقُكَ بِطَلاَقٍ فَارْجِعْ إِلَى أَهْلِكَ".
