Hadith 35

Hadith.1631 - Abdullah ibn Ajlan al-Sakuni said to Abu Ja'far (Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as)):
"Sometimes I distribute something among my companions to help them. How should I give it to them?"
The Imam (as) replied: "Give it to them based on their commitment to the faith, understanding of religion, and intellect."
1631 - وَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ عَجْلاَنَ اَلسَّكُونِيُّ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : إِنِّي رُبَّمَا قَسَمْتُ اَلشَّيْءَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِي أَصِلُهُمْ بِهِ فَكَيْفَ أُعْطِيهِمْ فَقَالَ «أَعْطِهِمْ عَلَى اَلْهِجْرَةِ فِي اَلدِّينِ وَ اَلْفِقْهِ وَ اَلْعَقْلِ».
