I said to Abu Abdullah (as), "A man brought a hady (sacrificial animal), and it perished in a place where he could not find anyone to give it in charity, nor would anyone know that it is a hady." Imam (as) replied: "He should slaughter it and place a written note on it so that whoever passes by it knows that it is charity."
