Hadith.978 - In a narration from Abu al-Hussain al-Asadi, it is reported that Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said
“Indeed, the reason a person prays a prostration of gratitude (Sajdat al-Shukr) after completing a prescribed prayer is to thank Allah (swt), the Most High, for the blessing He bestowed upon them in enabling them to perform their obligatory duty. The least that suffices in this prostration is to say : ‘Thanks be to Allah (swt)’ (Shukran lillah) three times.”
