He then said "The minaret should not be raised higher than the roof of the mosque”. 722 - وَ رُوِيَ: «أَنَّ عَلِيّاً عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ مَرَّ عَلَى مَنَارَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ فَأَمَرَ بِهَدْمِهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ «لاَ تُرْفَعُ اَلْمَنَارَةُ إِلاَّ مَعَ سَطْحِ اَلْمَسْجِدِ ».
