49. We were told by my father, may Allah grant him mercy, that he said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, from Qasem bin Muhammed al-Esbahani, from Sulayman bin Dawud al-Manqari, from Sufyan bin ‘Uyayna, that he said
I heard Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, say: I have the knowledge of people, all of them, in four: the first is that you know your Lord; the second is that you know what He has done to you; the third is that you know what He wants from you; and the fourth is that you know that which makes you leave your religion.
