2. With this chain of narrators, from Ali bin Mahziyar, from Hussain bin Sa’eed, from Safwan, from Saif, the Date Seller, that he said
Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, said: Sa’eed bin Abdul-Malik came, as a pilgrim, and met my father, peace be upon him, and said: I dragged an (animal of) offering, so what do I do? He said: Feed your family a third, the needy a third, and the beggar a third. I said: Is the beggar the one who asks? He said: Yes, and the needy is the one who is content with what you send to him of the piece and what is above. The beggar is the one who approaches you (suddenly) and does not ask you.
