1. My father, may Allah grant him mercy, said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, from Ahmad bin Muhammed, from his father, from Fadala, from Aban, from Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, with regards to the saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «(Ours is) The Religion of Allah, and which religion is better than that of Allah?» (2:138) He said
It is Islam.
أبي - رحمه الله - قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن فضالة، عن أبان، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام في قول الله عز وجل: " صبغة الله ومن أحسن من الله صبغة " قال
