Abu’l-Hasan, peace be upon him, was asked about a man who kills a snake, and the questioner said to him: Indeed, it has reached us that the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: «The one who leaves it out of precaution from its consequences, then he is not from me». He said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: «And the one who leaves it out of precaution from its consequences, then he is not from me». As for a snake [1] that does not seek you, there is no harm in leaving it.
