1. My father, may Allah grant him mercy, said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, from Ahmad bin Muhammed bin Isa, from Hussaian ibn Saif, from his brother, Ali bin Saif, from his father, Saif bin ‘Umayra, from Muhammed bin Marid, from Abdul-A’la ibn A’yan, that he said
I said to Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him: May I be sacrificed for you, there is a narration whom people narrate with regards to that Allah’s Messenger, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: «Narrate of the Sons of Isra’eel, and there is no forbiddance». He said: Yes. I said: So, shall we narrate of the Sons of Isra’eel with what we have heard, and there will be no forbiddance upon us? He said: Have you not heard what he said: «It is sufficient for an individual to be a liar when he speaks of everything he hears»? So I said: So how is that? He said: Whatever is in the Book (of mentioning) that something was among the Sons of Isra’eel, then speak that it is present in this nation, and there is no forbiddance.
