1 – Ziyād b. al-Mundhir, al-Hamdānī, Abū al-Jārūd, al-Khārifī. Narrated from Abū Jaʿfar عليه السلام and Abū ʿAbdillāh عليه السلام . Ziyād, he is the possessor of the station (ṣāḥib al-maqām, likely corruption of ṣāḥib al-maqāla, possessor of the doctrine (i.e. of the Jārūdī Zaydīs). His ḥadīth are in the ḥadīths of our companions more than amongst the Zaydīs. Our companions dislike what Muḥammad b. Sinān narrated from him, and they rely on what Muḥammad b. Bakr al-Arjanī narrated from him.
