Imam Ali (AS) said, Indeed honour is only attained by intellect and etiquette, not because of wealth and lineage.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنَّما الشَّرَفُ بِالعَقْلِ وَ الأدَبِ لابِالْمالِ وَ الْحَسَبِ
