Imam Ali (AS) said, Extravagance is censured in everything except in performance of virtuous acts and excessiveness in obedience [and worship of Allah].
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : في كُلِّ شَيْء يُذَمُّ السَّرَفُ إلاّ في صَنايِعِ المَعْرُوفِ وَ المُبالَغَةُ فيِ الطَّاعَةِ
